Grains Higher on Short Covering Thus Far Friday
September corn is up 5 cents and August soybeans are up 3 cents. September
KC wheat is up 3 1/2 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 5 cents, and
September MIAX Minneapolis wheat is up 4 3/4 cents.

EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: September corn is up 5 cents and August
soybeans are up 3 cents. September KC wheat is up 3 1/2 cents, September
Chicago wheat is up 5 cents, and September MIAX Minneapolis wheat is up 4 3/4
cents.
CME GLOBEX RECAP: Crop markets are moderately higher in overnight trade and
will attempt to avoid a winless week on Friday, the final full trading session
ahead of the pivotal Acreage and Stocks reports due out from USDA on Monday
morning. Reports due out for grain markets Friday include the Commitment of
Traders report in the afternoon, which will offer insights as to trader
positions as of Tuesday of this week. Meanwhile in outside markets, the S&P500
is closing in on a fresh all-time record, closing within 6.5 points of the mark
on Thursday, an impressive two plus month turnaround from early April tariff
lows. Meanwhile, since the early week cease-fire announcement, crude oil
futures have become very quiet, returning to a sideways trade that had been the
feature of the market in the weeks leading up to the conflict.
OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial
Average up 404.41 to 43,386.84 and the S&P 500 Index up 48.86 at 6,141.02. The
10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.25%. Early Friday, September Dow Jones
futures are up 102 points. European markets are mostly higher with the spot
futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.32%, spot futures of Germany's DAX
trading up 0.71% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading down 0.03%.
Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.43% and China's
Shanghai Composite Index down 0.70%.
